The Valley Falls New Era Thursday May 26, 1910 Fire at Nortonville. Fire Sunday noon destroyed KENYON's brick breeding and sale barn at Nortonville. Two horses perished in the flames, one a $1000 stallion. The vehicles, harness, etc., were mostly saved, but considerable feed was lost. The fire started in a defective flue. Only a few days before the fire Mr. Kenyon had purchased the barn of Ralph McCOY. The insurance policy of $1050 on the barn had been properly transferred, but that one the stallion for $750 was not made over to Kenyon and became void.
