    1. Teetor obit, 1917
    2. Richard & Joy Wellman
    3. The Nortonville News, 14 Dec. 1917 C. F. Teetor, a former Probate Judge of Jefferson county, died November 30th in a sanitarium at Kansas City after a lingering illness of several months. His case baffled the doctors in some respects. For weeks and months previous to his death his brain was disordered and he at intervals acted in a manner foreign to his nature, and at times became quite wild. About 3 weeks previous to his death, when his body and limbs were swollen with dropsy, a large lump developed on top of his head -- as large as a man's fist-- and when that subsided and disappeared the brain became normal, and from that time on until the end came, Mr. Teetor's mind was clear, and his manner and voice were quiet and patient and serene. Dr. Glasscock says there was undoubtedly a pressure on the brain which was the cause of his mental aberrations for a good while. In this he corrobarates (sic) the opinion expressed months ago by Dr. Smith, the family physician, that there was a nerve pressure somewhere affecting the brain action. Mr. Teetor was a Methodist minister and was pastor of the M. E. church at Oskaloosa for four years, retiring from the pulpit in 1909 on account of failing health. He was a mighty fine man and during the time he was probate judge of Jefferson county he made hundreds of close friends who mourn his death. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
