    3. The Mayetta Herald Jackson County Thursday February 4, 1915 Boyles--Slattery. Miss Olive BOYLES and Cornelius SLATTERY were married Thursday, January 28, by Father Gientz, of the Catholic church in Holton. They went immediately to Topeka where they visited until Friday evening, returning to the groom's father, Jas. Slattery, at Mayetta. They will live on the Slattery old home farm south of Mayetta. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Boyles and was reared on their farm near Denison, moving to a farm near Mayetta about three years ago. The groom is the oldest son of James Slattery and is known by everybody who has visited Mayetta only a few time. . He clerked for his father's hardware store for several years being on the road for the International Harvester Company last year. We wish the couple success in their married life. Connie Slattery and bride wer charivaried, Friday night at the James Slattery home. They did not show up very soon after the noise began but the boys wer persistent and with the aid of guns, horns, bell and any instrument of noise brought them out in due time. He treated them to everything they wished at the Moore restaurant.
