    3. The Mayetta Herald Jackson County Thursday October 14, 1915 Holton Girl Killed By Automobile. Holton, Kan.--Oct. 11.--Frances STAHL, a school girl, age 11, was killed here today when her bicycle on which she was riding collided with an automobile driven by W.A. BOYD. Rosella BOTHE, aged 9, who was riding on the bicycle with the Stahl girl, was badly bruised and cut and probably suffered internal injuries. The accident happened at the junction of Wisconsin avenue and Sixth street. The girls were on their way home from school. They were riding north and a corner residence obscured the view of the automobile coming east. Frances Stahl's neck was broken and she died within ten minutes. Her companion caught under the car and frightfully cut and bruised. The bicycle was taken from under the car after the collision. Mr. Boyd is a lumber dealer and traveling man and has been a resident of Holton for twenty-five years. Witnesses to the accident say the automobile was running at excessive speed. The county attorney had not decided tonight whether or not he would call a coroner's inquest.
