    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Bertha DAVIS JONES & Family. The photograph was taken at the G. M. Koentz Studio in Onaga, Kansas. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Bertha and her husband likely to be in their 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was taken with two young boys, about 3-5 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family: Bertha E. DAVIS was b. 18 Feb 1865 in IL and died 19 Sept 1931 in Mayetta, KS. She lived in MI until grown and moved to Huron, SD where she met and married Francis "Frank" T. JONES (b. 28 Jul 1858 in Blue Grass, IL) on 25 Dec 1884. The family moved to Onaga, KS in 1889, in 1929 they moved to Mayetta, KS where her husband died in 1930. At the time of Bertha's death she was survived by her two sons, Harry D. and Harvey Benjamin JONES and five grandsons all living in Mayetta, KS at the time. She was also survived by two sisters both living in California and not specifically named in her obituary. Census records provide the following information: 1900 census of Lincoln Township, KS: Frank T. JONES, age 42, born Jul 1858, married 15 years, born IL, parents born IN, a Farmer Bertha E.
