    3. The Mayetta Herald Jackson County Thursday May 4, 1916 Bride Foots Bill. A young man with $4.25 in his pocket, who took his blushing lady love to the office of the probate judge yesterday with the expectation of buying a license and getting married, was saved from an embarrasing situation by the girl. She came to his aid with enough change to make his total $6, the cost of the license and the marriage fee. The bride's assistance was in the form of a "loan," which the groom faithfully promised to return. Court attaches were speculating afterward whether he would or not.--Capital.
