The Mayetta Herald Jackson County Thursday Ocotber 18, 1917 Death of Mrs. Rice. Mrs. Richard RICE died at her home in Mayetta, October 13, age 43 years. Funeral services were held Monday at 9 o'clock at the Mayetta Catholic church, conducted by Father Geinitz. Interment in the Catholic cemetery on the Reservation. Mrs. Rice was the wife of the Reservation policeman, and had, for years served as official interpreter at the Potawatomi Agency. She was a good wife and devoted mother.
