Hello List, Is there someone on this list who can tell me about the cemetery in or near Circleville, Jackson County? I've been told I have some kin buried there and I'd like to be able to contact someone for any available death and burial records for both my gg grandmother and ggg grandmother. Any other family information would be greatly appreciated also. My gg grandmother was Mary "Polly" Caroline (Campbell) Steele Thomas. Polly is supposed to have been born about 18221-1822 in Missouri. Her first husband was Andrew Steel(e), also born in Missouri, and they were married in Missouri in 1839. Her second husband was a Mr. Thomas. I don't know the given name of Mr. Thomas, but his first initial may be either "A" or "O". Polly is supposed to be buried next to her mother, Ruth (Anderson) Campbell. The date of death for Polly may have been just before the year 1900. My ggg grandmother was Ruth (Anderson) Campbell, wife of James Campbell. According to family information, James and Ruth Campbell had several children. These are the names I have, but there may have been others: Polly Caroline, Luvicia Melinda, James Anderson, Sally Ann, John Henry, and Allen Green. (The son, James Anderson Campbell, is supposed to have died in Missouri at the age of 11.) My great grandparents were William Henry and Adaline Cinderella (Cook or Koch) Steel(e). William was living in The Dalles, Oregon about the time his mother would have died. Jan Fenter, Oregon [email protected]
