REEL was invaded and robbed of $31.00 in currency, which was taken from Mr. Reel's pants pocket as he slept soundly a yard away. When Mr. Reel went home from his store Saturday night he had $31.00 in currency and a lot of checks in his trousers pocket. On retiring for the night he laid his trousers in a chair a few feet away from the bed and fell asleep. On arising Sunday morning the book was nesttling serenely in his pocket, but the contents were gone. The checks were found in an ajoining room. The thief or thieves, it appears, had retired to this room to take an inventory of their loot. The checks had been laid aside. A watch in plain view was unmolested. Owing to sickness in the home, Mr. and Mrs. Reel slept down stairs and let the lamp burn all night. The light was an aid to the inturders in their work.
