The Anthony Weekly Bulletin Harper County Friday November 26, 1897 Sam P. JONES and old and well-known resident of this community, was in town several days this week renewing old acquaintances. Mr. Jones is traveling out of Kansas City for a grain company. Professor SENTER, C.O. SMITH, Misses DAVY and Myrtle GREENWALT, teachers in our public schools, are in attendance at the Southwest Kansas Teachers' association in session at Winfield the last three days of this week. Jerome JONES has resigned his position at T.F. Fanning's and is now in the employ of C.F. ARNETT in the meat market. Ray RANNEY is clerking for Mr. FANNING. Frank FIRESTONE and the younger Mr. HOOPES are very busy this week opening and displaying the Racket's line of holiday goods. They are at work in the store room recently vacated by Jud FOX, and will have a grand opening day Thursday, December 2.
