The Anthony Weekly Bulletin Harper County Friday December 9, 1898 A Serious Accident. Lou M. HELD met with a serious accident at his home 8 miles northwest of Anthony, Wednesday of this week. In company with some other men he was trying to relieve the horses of wheat beards that had worked into their teeth, and while working among the horses Mr. HELD was kicked in the abdomen by one of the horses. He was taken to the house and Doctor BOWERS, summoned, and after a second visit yesterday, the doctor reports the injury a serious one. The doctor hopes there is no internal rupture, and if there is not, Mr. Held should pull through all right. Mr. Held's many friends will join with the Bulletin in hoping that he may soon recover.
