    3. The Anthony Weekly Bulletin Harper County Friday January 27, 1899 Mrs. Marshall BELL left on Tuesday for Kansas City where she will visit Mrs. G.A. THOMAS for a few days, then she will go on to David City, Neb., where she will make her home.--Kingman Journal. Mrs. F.C. FIRESTONE returned from Wichita Wednesday of this week. While there she underwent a surgical operation from which she is convalescing. F.M. ANDERSON left Tuesday of this week for Emporia, Kan., to assist Receiver ALBAUGH in straightening out the affairs of the defunct Cross bank of that city. Mrs. Samuel BAYNE and son Howard arrived in the city last Saturday morning from Kansas City, Kans., for a short visit with relatives and friends. Mrs. Bayne will be remembered by many of our citizens as being a resident of this city several years ago. Mr. J.H. BEAM left Monday afternoon for his home in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Beam has made his home with his son R.R. Beam the greater part of the time for the past five or six years, and has a host of friends and acquaintances in the city and country. He is a veterinary of recognized ability and is a great lover of a good horse. W.A. MILLER left the first of the week for a trip through Oklahoma and parts of the Indian Territory. He with about one hundred other coal dealers, were the guests of the Rock Island and Choctaw railroads, the former road taking them from El Reno and the latter taking them from El Reno to the coal mines and other objects of interest along the line. It took three or four days to complete the trip, but Mr. Miller thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Loan on farm property at 6 and 7 per cent, don't make a loan until "you have saw me." Roscoe R. Beam. Mrs. HILL of Caldwell, who kept house for her daughter, Miss Ida CULL, while a teacher in our schools was over for a day or two last week visiting Anthony friends. The ARNETT boys are making excavations on the lot next to the Davis building for the erection of a two-story brick building, the lower story of which will be used by them for their meat market and the upper story for office rooms. Mrs. G.W. SHUTZ returned to her home in the Strip the first of the week.
