The Anthony Weekly Bulletin Harper County Friday February 24, 1899 J.H. MEYERS was a caller at this office Wednesday of this week. Mr. Meyers says that after investigation he believes that the most of his wheat is all right, and with favorable weather will make a fair crop. George PROUSE, the genial young clerk of the Alliance Exchange is taking an enforced layoff on account of the grippe and is sojourning to his country home north of the city. His place at the store is being temporarily filled by his brother, Herbert. Mr. O.W. BRIGGS informs us that the will have a sale sometime in March and will move to Harper where he owns a city residence. He has not decieded whether he will rent his farm or hire it farmed. He has 200 acres of wheat which he will harvest himself. If he can get a careful farmer he will rent the ground which is left for spring crop and in the fall will rent the entire farm. Mr BRIGGS is a good farmer and owns a beautiful farm which he would not rent to any one who would not take care of it.--Danville News.
