It is a great faciltiy and the people were wonderfully helpful. When I think that Greenwood County only has 8000 people, I am even more impressed. They have a wonderful collection of newspapers, as well as many many other records, including birth record from 1888. I wish I had had more time, but I was able to find the land that my GGGGrandfather homesteaded, as well as the land that his daughter and son-in-law homesteaded. I found the school that the children attended and where my ancestor's funeral was held. That was Worley School, and I am attaching a picture here on the message board.
