BEACH DEAD Leeming D. Beach was born February 10, 1842, near Kemptville, Ontario, Canada and died at the home of his son, Howard, August 4, 1925, aged 83 years 5 months and 10 days. He came to the United States in 1867 and after two years in New York and Northern Illinois, he came to Appleton City, MO. He was married February 14, 1872 to Mary Adaline Brenton, at Eureka, Kans. They resided on a farm near Appleton City, Mo., until the fall of 1881, when they moved to Kansas, locating in Lena Valley. To this union nine children were born, Marian E. and Everett J. died in childhood. His wife died Sept 13, 1919. He is survived by to brothers, Alfred Beach of Oxford Mills, Ontario, Canada, and Orlin C. Beach, of Roswell, New Mexico, and seven children, Howard L, and Mrs. Larcy Gardner, of Hartford, Mrs. Myrtle Horton, Ira W. and Rufus T. of Madison, Ruben E. of Eureka and Alvin O. of Topeka and 15 grandchildren. He united with the M. E. Church in Lena Valley February 20, 1887 and has lived a consistent Christian life since that time. Funeral services were held at the Lena Valley church August 6, at 2 o’clock p.m., conducted by Rev. M. U. Ramsburg, of Emporia. Interment was made in the Lena Valley cemetery. The pallbearers were Charles Clemmer, Charles Roberts, John Watson, Owen Gardner, Harry Williams and William McMurphy.
