I am wondering how this family connects to the Cherokee Nation. Several of the Cantrell children ended up in Indian Territory. 2. Jayne and husband William Merket were murdered along with Jayne's sister "Miss Barnes" (believe this to be Sarah). They had twins, which one died shortly after. What were the twins names? What happened to the other twin? 3. Looking for any burial information on any of those who died in the county. Several left for Oklahoma/Indian Territory or back to Missouri. 4. Looking for any information on the Hurd/Herd family. Can not seem to find anything at this time. Would like to see if they connect to the Connecticut Hurd line. I also wonder if there is any connection to the Herd that one of Thomas J's daughters married in Missouri. Appreciate any information. Willing to share on the Barnes family. I have them back to Connecticut along with connecting families.
