Greenwood County Cemetery is at Eureka, Kansas, the county seat. There are others, of course, the only ones I know of are at Madison, and Fall River. I am looking for information on Strain family or families that may have been in Greenwood KS 1880 census. Does any one on the list have access to this census for a lookup? Looking for further information on the family of William Bailey Jolliffe and his wife Mary Ellen Slack. William Bailey Jolliffe was born 1 Mar 1833 in Ohio and married Mary Ellen Slack 15 Nov 1858 in Johnson Co., Ind. I do have list of their children: Martin b. 1863, Effie May b. 1865, H. Fuller b. 1870, John Wade b. 1872, and Sarah A.E. Jolliffe b. 1876. I believe William Bailey Jolliffe moved to Greenwood Co, Kansas. My great grandparents moved to Greenwood Co. sometime in early 1870s but were back in Ohio when my grandfather was b. in 1878. The microfilm in Salina was too dim to read. Hello, I've been researching my mother's maiden name of GHRAMM and I'm hoping there are other people out there who are familar with the name. Here is an outline of what I have so far. I'm descended from Billy Warren Ghramm. I've been stuck on John Ghramm for quite some time now, I think I might subscribe to an Indiana listserv and see what happens but so far it looks like there is a name change sometime between John and his children because there aren't any Ghramms listed in Indiana from 1830 to 1860.
