Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Bm.2ADE/13.1 Message Board Post: I have some information which might fit. But it refers to William Otis Depee. He was born in 1875 in MO but interestingly married Agnes Jackson on January 24th 1898 in Greenwood County, KS. My main interest is in the Jackson family and I've only recently begun to look into the American line. The information above was sent to me by a third party and I've no way of verifying it. I pass it on to you as a possible link. But let me know what you think. Best wishes Steve

    3. I am new to the list. I have been checking deeds of land bought by B.H. Johnson. The deeds list husbands and wives and as I know it is hard sometimes to find the wives names I thought I would share. John Biby wife Adaline in 1892 A.G. Everett wife Angeline N in 1894 W.S. Bryant wife S.G. in 1895 H.S. Shepard wife S.A, in 1896 John Swagerty and wife Sarah in 1896 Arista L Barrier 1898 unmarried female C.B Breese wife A.E. in 1899 J L. Barrier wife Ella 1900 John Batchelor wife Sadie in 1903 If anyone has any knowledge of Benjamin Harrison Johnson who died in 1916 Reece I would appreciate hearing from you. He bought a lot of land. The Resistrar of Deeds sent me a map of the area at the time and it was very interesting as almost all he bought was near the railroad tracks. The deeds do not mention a wife so I assume she died before he came to Reece from Johnson Co KS. Hope this helped someone Reba Johnson Gale

    3. I think the Greenwood Historical Society is one of the best places to research. The volunteers are absolutely marvelous and they have lots of data and good suggestions Out of all the Historical societies I have ever written to or joined across the United States they truly rank at the top for friendliness, information, knowledge, and going the extra mile. If you have not written to them yet, try that before your trip.
