Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Bm.2ADE/1.2 Message Board Post: Today, in Watonga OK, I found a family bible with the name "Amanda Daugerty." Inside, on handwritten sheets (a virtual treasure trove of genealogy) there is one sheet that starts Isaac Wyant and Margaret Wertz were married August 28th 1866 in Hamilton Co., IN. There is a list of their children and birthdates and death dates which coincide with the names you are looking for . . .they were all born in Severy, KS. The bible came from the "Daugerty Estate" in Canton,OK. I understand from the antique store owner, it was the home of two old maid sisters. Many family pictures in the store. I picked up a few that were identified, but a huge picture of Ella Daugerty. I decided to save the family bible. Janet Cox OKC OK

They have two surviving children living here in Severy. A daughter Henrietta Craig and a son Walter Pape. I have been in contact with Walt's wife, Marjorie, and they do not have a computer but she would be interested in visiting with you either by mail or telephone. Their address is P.O. Box 114, Severy, Kansas 67137 and their telephone No. is (620) 736-2801. The Pape's granddaughter (Henrietta's daughter) lives on the place now. They tore the old house down and built a new one. My sister who lives in Nebraska found this sight and recognizing the Pape name, e-mailed me. Hope this was some help to you.

This family kept reusing the names Nicholas and Abial. Joseph who was the son of Nicholas(Sr) had a son Nicholas, also. Nicholas, son of Joseph, m Hannah (last name unknown) and had 2 children, Anson and Annis. 'My' Nicholas was the son of Abial who was possibly the son of Nicholas(Sr) also. My Nicholas, son of Abial, had a son Nicholas, who had a son Abial, who had the Nicholas G that lived in Greenwood KS. It's all quite confusing, but I hope that helps. I am not descended from Nicholas G and Elizabeth Childers who are in KS in 1880. I am descended from his grandfather, Nicholas. Which one of Joseph's children is your line?

Surnames: Kelley, Lovett Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Bm.2ADE/202 Message Board Post: I am searching for information on John d. Kelley and Amy R. Wardrip Kelley. Both were born in Kentucky. In 1870 they were in Lyon County and in 1880 and 1900 censuses they were in Greenwood County. Their children, as far as I can determine were: Uriah, John L, William A., Malindad, and Abigail. Abigail married George W. Lovett. John D. Kelley signed an affidavit for Abigail in 1908, so I know he was alive then! I am unable to determine his death date of which cemetery in Greenwood county he and his wife are buried. John D. Kelley was b. approx 1926 and Amy R. Wardrip Kelley was born approx 1825. I have a lot of info on Abigal Kelley Lovett and would be willing to share what I have.

    3. There are several references to the name LYON in the surname index of "The History of Greenwood County Kansas Volumes I & II". Can you give more specifics of more of the family and I'll see if the names tie into the book at all. The books don't seem to have a section on Greenwood County churches. I've never heard of Economy church. -----Original Message----- From: gshackelton@yahoo.com [mailto:gshackelton@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2004 12:24 PM To: KSGREENW-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KSGreenwood] Re: William LYON family in Greenwood co - 1880's - Correction This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
