(Willard) Pruiett was my dad.. I'm slowly going through a trunk & several boxes of news clippings that my grandmother (Carrie Shotwell Kobler) and my mother (Thelma Kobler Pruiett) saved over the years. Most are related to family but many of them include neighborhood news too. For many years my Gr.Aunt Eda Kobler Higer and later her daughter-in-law, Lydia Higer wrote neighborhood news from around Penokee for Hill City Times. There are a lot of their clippings in the boxes. I am trying to make a note of names to keep track of for postings. I heard recently that the Morland Centenial booklet is available again. Any one interested in Graham CO History should try to get a copy. I got one of the last of the originals years ago. I believe it was from Faye Minium at the Citizens Bank in Morland. I had to tell her I still had my little barrel savings bank from Citizens from 1934! The Centinial booklet is about 100 pages full of articles by residents of the county and has loads of pictures, and reprints of old news stories.. I've found it a wonderful resource.
