Hello Margaret.... Using the name that Jackie gave, KINDERKNECHT, I did a search on AltaVista and came up with a couple pages on the Internet with some info on a KINDERKNECHT family that settled primarily around Hays Kansas. A mention is made of St. Peter in Graham County. The sites are at: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/k/i/n/Brian--Kinderknecht/GENE8-0003.html http://home.earthlink.net/~kinderknecht/ Good luck with your research Bill Sowers >Margaret, >I grew up in Graham Co., & there was a family named KINDERKNEChT, but not >Rinderknecht. It was my understanding, the name (in German) means >Baby-sitter. The Kinderknecht's were from the St. Peter area, south of >Morland. St. Peter is a Volga German community. The family you are >seeking were probably buried in the St. Peter Cemetery, but I don't know >that for sure. > >Jackie Wilson Smith > > > >>Dear List Members, >> I am looking for the burial place of Joseph Rinderknecht b: 1859 d:aft 1933, >> Bertha Rinderknecht 1868-aft 1933, and thier children Frank b: abt 1894, >> Eshter Logston b: abt 1896 and Raymond R Rinderknecht b: 23 Dec 1897.
