Since I'm a real newbie to being a list administrator, I'm trying to come up with more ideas to benefit the list. One suggestion on another list I subscribe to is to set up a web-site at MyFamily.com specifically for the list members. If you're familiar with the MyFamily site, feel free to skip to the following paragraph while I explain what it is. MyFamily is a private web-site accessible only to members through the use of user-names and passwords. Each web-site has up to 75 MB of space and has a standard set-up in the features (main, address book, family history, family tree, recipes, etc) are the same from one web-site to the next. The contents of each web-site are contributed by the members. You can see a sample at http://www.myfamily.com/front_members.asp and click on the "Sample Site" on the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. The thoughts behind suggesting this web-site are 1.) members would be able to post their family trees for other members to see, 2) ability to share photos & other items of interest since attachments can't go through to the list. I would be more than happy to set up the web-site (and be administrator) if there is enough interest and only those people who request it would be added as members. Please post your thoughts & feelings about this on-list. Or post any idea you may have about making our list more beneficial. Thanks! Jackie Wilson Smith
