Shepard, 74, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the Graham County Hospital. She was born July 3, 1925, in Lenora to Harold H. and Erma Fay (Thuma) Kerfoot. She was a homemaker and longtime area resident. Survivors include her husband, Cleo, Hill City; five sons, Sam Williams, Cimarron, Dean Williams, WaKeeney, Gary Williams, Norton, Steve Williams, Hill City, and Paul Williams, Damar; three daughters, Sheila Yenglin, Grand Junction, Colo., Sherry Skubal, Morland, and Leann Morford, Hill City; two sisters, Laurene Cone, Medford, Ore., and Jacqueline Kinion, Phoenix; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Sam Williams Sr. and Art Wells Jr., a sister, Pat Overby, a son, Mark Williams, and a daughter, Janna Gingles. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lenora South Cemetery. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at the Spencer Chapel, Hill City.
