I don't know of a connection, but Bill's birth place might be a good place to start looking. They both ended up in Graham County, Kansas. Bill is buried in the Leland Cemetery, Graham County. The Bell's & McCoys & Franklins al came from the same general locacion. The McCoy,s were just across the state line in Appanoose County, Iowa.
