--=======232C77F1======= Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-1A2F304D Dear List: After the acquisition of RootsWeb last year, we saw few changes to the services provided. However, the message boards (GenConnect on RootsWeb and FamilyHistory.com) were being duplicated. In June, after many months of hard work by the folks at Ancestry.com, MyFamily.com and RootsWeb, these systems were integrated into one streamlined system. I, as an administrator and user, am incredibly excited about the new features and would like to address any questions or concerns you may have. If you are not familiar with the new boards, I'll be happy to post a list of some of the changes. As with any project of this magnitude, there have been some problems since it went "live". To the best of my knowledge, many of those problems are already fixed or are being fixed as quickly as humanly possible. If you find something not working correctly, please bring it to my attention so that I may investigate and pass the word on to "the powers that be". Please be patient in these first few weeks as constant changes will be seen to reflect the problems being fixed continually. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=main&r=rw Jackie Wilson Smith --=======232C77F1=======--
Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a contact for cemetery lookups? I'm looking for Archibald C. and Salina A. CRUIKSHANK. They were living in Graham County in 1900. I know Archibald passed away sometime after 1900. Salina died sometime after 1910. Their family was in the Roscoe and Bow Creek area. I would love to know exactly where they are buried...but I also need their Date of death. They also had an infant child die. Any contact information for Lookups would be greatly appreciated! ME again. While I was growing up in the 1930's there were a lot of times when my parents couldn't keep all of the kids at home. During the depression I lived aa lot of the time with my grandparents along with one or two cousins. While I was growing up I had a lot of talks with my grandfather. Herbert F. Kobler. son of John F Kobler of Penokee, an early pioneer of Graham CO. We talked about a lot of people ..I was interested in early history and wanted to know very thing and it seems to me that Lightall was a name he mentioned but I'm not sure if it was around Penokee or Gettysburg.. Does the 'Redline' make amy sense to you? Actually the redline road was much later but some how it seem connectd to me. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Hi Becky, Thanks for putting the obituary for Keziah Elsie Campbell McDaniel Young on the Graham Co. Rootsweb site. She was my step-great-grandmother. I am the granddaughter of Minor Young, one of her stepchildren listed in her obituary. She was only four years older than Minor Young, as she was 20-some years younger than her second husband, Addison Young. My mother remembered and kept in contact with 2 of Elsie's daughers, Nola and Ora, for many years. They were about the same age as Mother, and went to Hill City High School together. I think I have a copy of one of their obits and really should put it on the Graham Co. rootsweb site!! Mabel Mitchell, who I am cc'ing this email to, is the granddaughter of Minnie Kelly, another of Elsie's stepchildren. Are you descended from the McDaniel side of this family? Jane

Posted on: Graham Co. Ks Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ks/Graham/10014 Surname: Sowers ------------------------- I am looking for family or info on a George and Mary Ann Dare Sowers. I have recently found a paper written by my Great Grandma who was the daughter of these two people. In it it states that they moved from Jasper Co., MO to Hill City, KS in Feb of 1904 by covered wagon. GGrandma Henreta Sowers married Grandpa John Leslie Dixon in Hill City, KS on 10/10/1906. My Grandma Lillie Dixon White was born in Hill City, KS on 8/5/1907. The Sowers later moved on to OK, the Dixon's moved on to Colorado and GGrandma Henreta and GGrandpa John Dixon homesteaded in Colorado, then on to NE. This is where they lived out their lives. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, please email me at jardine@bwtelcom.net Thanks Kris Jardine
