Greetings, List. Our family tradition has one Howard Thornton marrying Marian/Marion Seamans and living in Lawrence. Marian is still single in the 1940 census. In 1963, in the Lawrence City Directory, she is the widow of Howard and a clerk at KU. I can't find - A marriage record - A death record I found a Howard C. Thornton, age 29, in Lawrence in the 1940. He's married to a lady named Elizabeth, age 26. They have one son, Gary, age 2. If Elizabeth dies or divorces, he might remarry our Marian. Our family tradition doesn't mention previous marriages, though. If anyone can shed some light on this couple I would appreciate it.
