Unfortunately, they are not alphabetized by individual--only cross referenced by surname. With the name of Smith, it appears on almost every page. I did check for Armstrong and came across something that I thought might be connected. You had indicated the census listed the son of Nellie as S. O. Armstrong b. about 1905. I found the following: Leland O. Armstrong, b. 25 Nov. 1904, d. 9 Jan. 1980, buried Oakhill cem., section 6, Lawrence, KS, with wife Eleanor T. Armstrong, b. 29 May 1905, d. ? With a script "S" that would look very similar to an "L", I thought it might be the same person. There are city directories in the public library in Lawrence.
