Correa Frances A. Correa, 70, Rt. 3, dies Monday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital following a long illness. A funeral mass will be recited for Mrs. Correa at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church by Father Michael Moriarty. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Correa was born Sept. 18, 1904, in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wats auxiliary and served as president of the local group for two years and was a past president of the district organization. She also was a member of the Midland Rural Club and active in the home demonstration unit. She is survived by her husband, O. H. Correa of the home; a son Gerald, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Fred Hirsch, Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family prefers contributions in Mrs. Correa's name to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
