    3. In response to your query-- Checked the Douglas Co. marriage records for "Johntz" and found no entries. Same with the burial records. However, got to thinking how it might sound, and if so, how it might be written. With that thought, I checked for "Johns" and found a few items that remotely might fit with your family line. Burial of John Johns, b. 13 Aug. 1843, d. 18 Aug. 1877, bur. Oak Hill Cem., Section 1, in Lawrence. Burial of William Henry Johns, b. 8 Dec. 1879, d. 14 Sep. 1965 and wife Emma May (Nadelhoffer) Johns, b. 21 Oct. 1881, d. 10 Apr. 1950 Marriage of John Johns to Mary E. Martin on 13 Jan. 1876. There was also a marriage for "Henney (or Henry) Johns to Jennie Jones on 29 May 1875. I know it is a long shot, but nothing otherwise to report on surname of Johntz.
