This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Zl.2ADI/72 Message Board Post: Colleen: Yes, German Baptists, Old Order Dunkards and Church of the Brethern are all the same group of people (slight variations). I've found them mostly from Ohio and Indiana and moved on to Kansas. A branch of my husband's people came from Indiana to Kansas. Their names were Badsky and Kes(s)ler. There was an Elizabeth Kesler that married a Bowers. But maybe they had a daughter named Elizabeth that married a Baker. I really don't know but I can check it out. I get the Lawrence newspaper and a few weeks ago there was an article about an Ulrich fella that was quite elderly. I think I sent the article to my brother-in-law in Lyndon, KS, so I will see if he still has it. But, there is an Ulrich Cemetery south of Lawrence that I can see from the highway that I drive every day. The fella talked about that cemetery in the article. Since today is Sat. and cleaning day for me, this evening I will check some of my records and see what I can find for you. If I start researching this morning, I won't get ANY work done! Hope I find a clue for you. But, I bet this Ulrich fella could help you out. Loretta
If you need any look-up for the Ulrich cem., I have a copy of the Douglas Co. cemetery book that was done in 1989. There are several Ulrich persons buried there plus Samuel and Elizabeth Baker and two of their daughters, both died at age 4. I live about 5 miles from the cemetery, so could probably check on more recent burials. Let me know if you need something.
