J.A. BROWN, 91, of Lecompton, died Tuesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert SEYBOLD, 435 Lafayette Street. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Ind., in 1848, and came to Kansas in 1854, settling at Lecompton. Later he moved to a farm near Watson. Twenty-seven years ago he retired and moved back to Lecompton. BROWN was a member of the United Brethren Church for fifty years. Surviving are one son, Harry BROWN, Lecompton; three daughters, Mrs. SEYBOLD; Mrs. Walter JOHNSON, Lecompton, and Mrs. Henry WOOD, Ponca City, Okla., fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The body was taken to Sanderson-McMichael Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
