I have found in the past that "Polly" was a nickname for "Mary" The name "JaQuash" was supposly taken off of the marriage records. Reuben Gasusnell was found on the 1880 Census by someone with a spouce Polly and two children with the surename of "Quash"/ "William C" and "Minnie M" On the internet I found a "William J. Quash listed under "Kansas Volunteer Regiments Enlistments" I beleive that he is probably the one that Polly was married to. Harold
