I am beginning to research the Morton and Tucker families. On the 1880 census Dexter Tucker was a farmer at Palmyra, Douglas, KS and he was born 21 Mar 1834 and died Oct 5 1920. He was born in N. Y. but I am trying to find where in N. Y. he was born. One of his daughters Fannie Tucker born 26 Jan 1866 was a graduate of Baldwin college, this I would also like to document. She also married a Morton. Is there a Historical Society for Douglas County? I would appreciate any info and thanks in advance. Helen from Florida
