They were married about 1910; I do not have the exact year. The date from and index would do just fine. Also, Ed may have died in Douglas co. Regarding your request for marriage record for Edward and Margaret Johanning-- I don't have marriage records at home for the 1910 time period. However, I have checked the death records and think I may have found them-- Edward J. Johanning, 1885 - 1978 Margaret E. Johanning, 1889 - 1978 They are buried at Willow Springs St. John's United Church of Christ cemetery, along with many other persons with Johanning surname. There are no burials recorded in Lawrence with the Johanning surname. The marriage record books for the period around 1910 are available at the Spencer Research Library at University of Kansas. It is not easily accessible as the nearest parking (a parking garage with cost of $1 per hour) is about 1/2 mile away and one must then walk the half mile to the library. Finding an obituary that might contain the marriage date may be easier if we could just determine the date (or at least month) of death. Checking the Social Security Death index, I find: Edward Johanning, b. 10 Nov. 1881, d. Jan. 1978, last residence was Topeka, KS Margaret Johanning, b. 24 Sep. 1889, d. Oct. 1978, last residence was Baldwin, KS. Everything agrees except the birth year for Edward--??? I can check for obit. if you want me to pursue that approach. Richard Wellman
