She never lived in Clinton. I do have many pictures of Harry and Evelyn Hood who more than likely met my grandmother when they all worked in Kansas City in 1916-22.

They lived in Clinton from about 1904 to about 1920. My grandfather, Dr. Mark Beach, was the doctor in Clinton until he left for army service in World War I. He died while serving as a medical officer and contracting influenza. Clara and the children moved to Lawrence sometime after the war. (Clinton is and was a small town, so it's likely everyone knew everyone else. Since your grandmother and my grandparents lived there at the same time, I thought you might possibly have some information about them.)

    3. The Douglas Co. Gen. Soc. has compiled the tombstone information from all the cemeteries in the county. Sutton tombstones are listed, though there may be other burials without tombstones that have not been added to the list. Let me know the name of the burial you are seeking and I will check the record for you.     3. Since you give no dates or names, it is hard to tell which Bowen family you are looking for. However, there are numerous entries for the surname of Bowen. There is a biography for Isaac Bowen in the PORTRAIT & BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD OF LEAVENWORTH, DOUGLAS AND FRANKLIN CO. KANSAS. At the time of the article, he was living in Leavenworth Co., which is adjacent to Lawrence and Douglas Co. I believe I have a copy of a letter from Henry to Sarah that I received from the Pipkin family, who I think, are descended from Walter Granger. Hi Everyone, Many of you might not be aware that as of October 23, 2002, the 1880 US Census Index, 1881 Canadian and 1881 British Census Indexes are available free at: http://www.familysearch.org These are from the LDS Church which have also had these indexes on CD's for quite some time.
