I thought her father was Jacob Jaquash, but this is William "J" perhaps the middle name was Jacob. Anyway, I found William J. Quash on the Civil War Pension Index with a widow of Polly A. Gausnell.

I have a copy of a copy of his book "Not Guility" and my husbands GGGreat Grandfather was Nicholas D. Shane(ca1815-1893) > Arthur Lamartein Shane(1852-1908)>Richard M. Shane(1882-1962)>Irene Shane(1910-1966). We believe Nicholas D. was born in Pa. and was married to Statira Boucher in 1837 Mason County, Maysville KY. James B. was born in 1840 Dover, KY and died 1913 Lawrence Kansas. His Father was Nicholas D. We do not know who the Father of Nicholas D. was. There are a few researchers looking into this family....my information back past Arthur Lamartein is not documented by myself. We live in the Abilene, Ks. arear where Nicholas D., Statira, Arthur, and Richard are buried. Hope this helps.....how are you connected?
