Here is an abstract of her obit from the 1-30-1993 issue of the Salina Journal. Evidently her brothers pre-deceased her: Helen Irene Martin died Jan. 29, 1993 at the Countryside Home, rural Abilene. She was born April 12, 1908 at Solomon and had lived in Abilene since 1941. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Abilene, and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years. Survivors include a cousin, Fritz Kanehl of Bartow, Florida, and a long-time companion and friend, Jeanette Browning of Abilene.
