    3. Thank you so much for your kind words. My dad's families are from northern Dickinson (a cousin was mayor of Chapman) and southern Clay, and those are my "favorite" counties, and I really enjoy adding data to them. I am trying to create sites for all 105 Kansas counties, but I will return to Dickinson soon and add more information. 1. [KSDICKIN] Dickinson Co. research website updated
    2. Sheryl McClure
    3. Hi everyone-- I have updated my Dickinson Co. website, adding some new data including the 1894 G.A.R. posts and rosters, over 50 older obituaries, the 1928 Herington H.S. annual, other school photos and replaced the 1909 plat maps with larger, brighter images. I also revamped the front page, which I hope is cleaner and easier to navigate. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ksdickin/index.html Please visit and let me know what you think, and if you have anything you want to contribute, I will be happy to place it on the website. Thanks, Sheryl

    1. [KSDICKIN] Date of death for Florence Robbins, please??

Author: hinshaw77a Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kansas.counties.dickinson/484/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi everyone, back again with new request:) I think Florence Robbins must have died between 1905 and 1910. Her sister, Della Robbins Niederhiser, died in 1905 in Solomon, KS, and her mother says -in the 1910 census- that she has 6 children total, 4 living. Her mother, Martha Wells Robbins, remarried in 1909 in Riply co, MO, so "assume" Florence passed away either in KS or MO. I have looked in both states with no results, yet. So if anyone has any info or ideas, please feel free to "jump" in. Thanks Elaine Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Too bad she never married - I was hoping to locate some living relatives. Her brother Charles married but had no children. He was a professor of Entomology at the University of Oregon in Corvallis and married Dorothy Wylie about 1929, possibly in Dickinson county, but I have no documents on their marriage. He died in 1975 presumably in Tuscon, Arizona per Social Security. That leaves Reynold. As you state, no mention of him so he must have predeceased her but I have not been able to locate any death info. Thanks again so very much. Here is an abstract of her obit from the 1-30-1993 issue of the Salina Journal. Evidently her brothers pre-deceased her: Helen Irene Martin died Jan. 29, 1993 at the Countryside Home, rural Abilene. She was born April 12, 1908 at Solomon and had lived in Abilene since 1941. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Abilene, and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years.
