Diana:??Do you know Sarah Long's ancestry at all??? Bob Long? ?To be in ignorance of one's ancestors ???? is to be a tree without a root, ???? a river without a source -----Original Message----- From: junomyth <junomyth@cox.net> To: kscherok@rootsweb.com; kslabett@rootsweb.com; KSCRAWFO@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 5 Sep 2008 2:56 pm Subject: [KSCRAWFO] Joshua N. Stewart Dear List, I am looking for specific information on Joshua N. Stewart. Joshua is the son of Josiah & Sarah Long Stewart. He was born in Green County, Missouri, 10 May 1945 and died 6 Apr 1928 in Parsons, Labette, Kansas. He married Mary Susan Whitlock. I have tracked him on all Federal and State Census. Does anyone on this LIST have his burial place and an obituary? Thank you everyone for your response. I am going to the Parsons area in October. I live in Wichita. I really want to make the most of my time! I have Brooks family buried in Sherman Cemetery, some Cooper and Long family in Harley (sad shape) and Long family in McCune Cemetery. I have done research at the Cherokee County Kansas Genealogical Society and the Columbus Public Library. Both places are FULL up of wonderful information that has furthered my family research. Bob asked about Sarah Long's ancestry: Sarah Long d/o William O. Long & Ruth Graham/Grimes? B: 3 Aug 1806 TN D: 16 July 1887, McCune, Crawford, KS She is the only sibling that came to the Cherokee/Crawford area. However her brother, George William Long's son Amos, lived in the area. I descend from Amos. Again, thank you for the "tips." I have not been to the Parsons Library. I need to find obits for that area for my Fleming, Dunn, Steward and Cooper families. Diana Bryson-Brooks
