Her father was Silas Emerson Hill. She was born in Emporia. She became a Baptist preacher. She married Walter Eugene Tanner in 1921 in Ft Scott, KS. I need to know more about her. At the time that she lived, it was unusual for a woman to be a Baptist preacher. She was pastor of a Baptist church in Pittsburg in about 1912. She died in 1939 in West Virginia. I was hoping to find an obit for her in Pittsburg or anywhere in Kansas, since she grew up there and worked there. If you know about an obit or any kind of biography of her, please let me know.
