I've "rescued" an old family photograph which appears to identify the group as the family of Aunt Mary GILLET and Addie, Lyda, Charles, May, and Jay (who are twins). The name Grace MORSE appears on the back of the photograph as well, though I don't believe she is pictured, maybe she is the person to whom the photograph was given. The photograph was taken at the Gibson & Widman Studio in Jackson, Michigan, likely sometime in the 1890's. The photograph includes an older woman, likely in her 40's or 50's (Aunt Mary GILLET?) and six young people including three females and three males. One of the young men in the photograph does not look like a relative since both of the other men certainly look like brothers. I'm wondering if this could be the spouse of an older daughter? Based on limited research I was able to gather some information regarding the family: Addie Electa GILLETT b. 1 Jan 1873 in Parma, MI to parents John Mack GILLETT and Mary Wilarina WORCHESTER. Addie married Joel Martin SHIGLEY (b. 16 Jul 1871 in Greene Co. OH) on 24 Dec 1891 in Springport, MI. Addie died on 24 Feb 1949 in McCune, KS and is buried there at the Mound Valley Cemetery. Lydia or Liddie A. GILLETT b. 18 Mar 1875 in Springport Township, MI to parents John Mack GILLETT and Mary Wilarina WORCHESTER. Lydia died Mar 1944 in Parma, MI.
