Hi everyone, Got a copy of the History of Chicopee KS - it's about 10 pages while I was in the library in Pittsburg a couple of weeks ago. It was written by Mary Lenne, now desceased. I will do lookups for people; not a lot of genealogical information but it is a very nice work that puts "you there" at the turn of the century. Found an Aunt that owned a Chili Parlor/Wrestling Room with her husband in Chicopee. I'm in the process of retyping and putting it up on my web site and hope to have it done soon. Also, I found a JEWEL of a vital records resource - the Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Found ALL of my family's records from St. Barbara's in Chicopee there. They have seperate volumes for most of the little Catholic Churches in the Pittsburg area eg. Fleming, Chicopee, etc. etc. I left a donation and was very careful examining the records; they were so kind to help me. Also, you need to call first before going.
