They came about 1861. Do you know what port your ancestor arrived at from Switzerland? I have been unsuccessful in tracking my ancestors to a ship and port. Specifically, John Maskrod and his three children came to the US about 1861. He is said to be French or Italian (?) and his wife died in a house fire before they came to the US.
