Actually, the newspaper, the Weir City Tribune, was published on Jan. 5, 1894, and is part of 83 bundles of Weir newspapers dating as far back as 1880, which were donated to the library from the Kansas State Historical Society. "They probably won't be much help to genealogists, but people who are interested in the history of Weir will probably be interested," Susan Adams, librarian, said. "We're hoping some of the people who have lived in Weir all their lives will want to look at them."
