This does not mean that he did not die there just that there is no headstone listed. Remember the time frame of possible death 1920-1930. This was a very poor time and many people had no finances for headstones plus he was a coal miner and they didn't make large wages. Also if there were no other family members around he might have been just buried in a potter's field. The old Hobson Cemetery [now a part of Highland Cemetery] was were many were buried. However on the down side the records of Hobson Cemetery were burned up in a fire. So if no stone, no record. Death Records after 1913 were sent to the State. This would be an expense to have a death record search but I don't know how important this is to you. They do searches in 10 year increment. 5 years before the date and 5 years after. I you could someway narrow it down further that might help you ! even more. I'm not for sure what the Crawford County Historical Society has for city directorys but you might find a listing between 1920 and 1930 that may indicate he was still in that area.
