Farmer was born Nov 1861 in Cass Co., Illinois. His parents were Andrew Jackson Farmer and Catherine Nance. Martha Bella Jolliff was born Oct 1868 in Washington Co., Illinois. Her parents were Reuben W. Jolliff and Mary Ann Haskins. Reuben was a blacksmith at Cato, Kansas in the 1880's. Charles, age 24, and Mattie, age 18, were married 19 Aug 1886 in Crawford Co., Kansas by C.G. Hawley, P.J. I have their children as: Edna Mae born 22 Oct 1887 Annie E. born Apr 1889 Ada born Nov 1893 Jack Charlie born Dec 1896 Coy R. born 14 Mar 1900 Georgia born abt 1903 Theodore born abt 1905 I have distant connections to this family in that Charles' sister Sarah Bell was the wife of my great-grandfather's brother Jonas A. Elliott, and Charles' sister Milinda was the wife of my great-grandmother's brother, Christopher Columbus Nickell.
