Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zl.2ADE/510.3.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: The miner's map list an Ashley Coal Camp and in parenthesis below it lists #15 Central Camp. It is near the Wear Coal Company #16 and the Nevius Coal Company #4. It is a little more than 1 mile east of the town Fleming and a bit to the southeast of that mile marker (south and east of the corner of Country Club Rd and 190th Rd.) The Wear Coal Company was a larger company and may have had companies in other states. It's offices were once held in the National Bank Building on 4th and Broadway Pittsburg. I would not rule out Central Coal and Coke Company because it was very large and the camp also bears the name #15 Central Camp. I found no Henry Wettstein in accident records but I found John, Joeseph, Jake and Jacob all working in the Central Coal and Coke Company and all reports on them were made in 1920's and 30's. I looked on the Axe library Special Collections website and found a few miner related articles but nothing specific to names. However they probably have more information but they do not have it all listed. I will call them tomorrow and ask them specific information about Wear Coal Co., Central Coal and Coke Co. and Nevius) Did Henry have other family members that came over? Did he have brothers? In my family I have 3 Gobl brother's who came over from Austria in 1907 then 1911 and the youngest after WWI. All 3 have practically the same naturalization information.
