Hello All: Been awhile. Here we go again! I find in Rootsweb Long message board several postings on "LONG's in Kansas" by a Sharon Kaye Booth and also by a Deborah Arrington in 2001 and 2005 respectively which I have responded to or rather my daughter. Reference to a David or Dave Long who passed in 1967 and his wife Ada Williams Long who passed in 1987 I believe. Of Crawford county KS. David's mother was Mary Elizabeth Hough Long Lanning buried in Mulberry cemetery with James Lanning. I find Mary E Long living with James in 1895 or 1900 census with her boys Eddie Long and David Long and the Lanning children, Louis, Pearl and another. Edward aka Eddie is my grandfather, Mary my great grandmother. Looking for desc of David and Ada. Believe two daughters of David living in Arkoma, Ada and Clara. Fascinating research after fifteen plus years to find more kinfolk.. Any help out there??
