I would appreciate information on how to locate a marriage license and a divorce decree when I have limited information. Guy Everett Riggs married Violet Umphenour in 1937-8 probably in Crawford Co as both sets of parents lived there. A son was born in Oct 1938. Violet and Guy were divorced, may have been living in the Kansas City area at this time. She married a Brown and was divorced from him by 1946, probably also in the KC area although her parents remained in Crawford Co and the son remembered living there. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Lynn

Their daughter, Katie (born 9/1893) was my paternal grandmother. James was born in Ireland in 1859 and died in OK in 1935. Agnes (I have dates of birth and death, just not with me) died first, when she pulled a wringer (washing machine) over onto herself. I have a picture of James and Agnes and two young boys taken in the earlier 1890s. I was told by my aunts that their mom had 2 older brothers, Alexander and Harry but they didn't have any information about their families. I was also given info that Harry died in 1918 of Influenza and at that time he was married and had a son. No names unfortunately. Hope this helps some.
