J. T. Scott, born July 1879 and buried in Muscotah Cemetery, Muscotah, Kansas, married Frances (Fannie) Norris in August 1878, and they had 3 children that I know of: Jennie, Elyza and Albert. Does this match any of your info?

Hi All: New one for me so I thought I would share in the event someone was not aware of it. Bureau of Land Management site. Found many of my LONG ancestors (actually my daughter found info) in Illinois by counties where they all bought or received land grants on the same day......... Ties them all together in 1840. Virginia was not a state in the index. Anyone know why not?? Happy Hunting: Bob Long http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/imaging/image.asp?accession=IL4010%5F%5F%2E182&f ormat=s&page=1">

Bob, My grandmother was born in Midway in 1898 and is probably in the school picture you received along with some of her siblings. Their name was Runyan. Some time back Carol sent me a picture via e-mail of children at the Midway school. I am not sure what year it was and the names weren't on it, but I did pick out my grandmother. That picture is a real treasure to me. (thanks again Carol!) As it turned out, Midway was a coal camp and no one in the family had any idea that my grandmother's father worked in a coal camp. I am still working on the Runyan line when I get the chance and really not getting very far with it. One of my g-aunts, Martha Runyan married a Paul Boyce in 1926 in Crawford County, Kansas. Ethel Runyan married Carl Mignone in 1922 in Crawford County, Ks. Omer Runyan married Hazel Hinson in 1926 in Crawford County, Ks. Anyway........ just wanted to share. I am always interested to hear about others from Midway. Connie There are Runyans buried in the Crawford County cemetery that I have no idea how they are related.
